Rogers girls hockey is having its best season but still can’t put a dent in the Buffalo Bison.

Buffalo drubbed the Royals 7-2 on the Bison ice on Thursday evening, remaining an opponent the Royals have never beaten.

Katie Rooney drilled three goals and Laurel Prodahl two for the Bison (3-1 conference, 10-6 overall). Allison Roethke and Katie Vatnasdal had the other goals and Lindsey Hartfield stopped 26 of 28 shots.

Tori Noland and Emily Antony notched the goals for Rogers (2-4 conference, 11-6-2 overall).  Antony’s was the 20th of her freshman seasson. Michelle Klimstra was in goal, allowing seven goals on 28 shots.

Rogers, ranked No. 9 in Class A, will host the other conference Class AA rival they’ve never beaten, North Wright County, on Tuesday.
