Wrestling: Royals lose to Cambridge 53-19, get LeVasseur back

The return of Clay LeVasseur to the lineup was the Rogers highlight as the Royals got back to action with a 53-19 loss to Cambridge-Isanti at home on  Thursday evening.

LeVasseur, longtime mat standout for the Royals, missed the pre-holiday portion of the schedule with a shoulder injury. The senior 220-pounder also missed much of his junior season.

LeVassuer returned with a quick 35-second pin. Also winning were Phillip Anderson, Connor Larson, and Ryan Lien.

“It was nice having Clay back on the mat, and he looked great tonight,” said coach Chris Donnay.

Rogers (5-4) will wrestle Saturday at the Brooklyn Center Invitational.
