Hockey: Elk boys lose to Crimson 3-1
Elk River-Zimmerman lost a tournament and conference game to unbeaten Maple Grove 3-1 on Wednesday in the St. Louis Park Tournament.
Mitchel Kierstad had the goal for the Elks, now 5-2 in conference and 6-3-1 overall. Spence Ball scord twice for the No. 3 ranked Crimson, 6-0 in the NWSC and 9-0-1 overall.
The Elks face Bloomington Jefferson at noon Thursday in the consolation round.
