Jordyn Motter poured in 24 points as the Rogers Royals tumbled St. Francis 58-51 in the third-place game of their own tournament Wednesday evening.
The Royals (5-5) had a 20-point lead in the second half and held on to snap a four-game losing streak.
Motter, senior forward, also snapped 10 rebounds. Senior guard Emily Reichert was next with 11 points.
“A much better effort tonight on all fronts,” said coach Jeremy Digiovanni, alluding to a 55-46 loss to Forest Lake the night before. “The challenge now is to carry that over to each game on a consistent basis.”
St. Francis rallied with good three-point and free-throw shooting.
The Royals will host Becker next Tuesday.
