What is your favorite class and why? What is your favorite subject?
My favorite subject is French, so my favorite class is French II. I picked this as my favorite class because I find the French language and culture fascinating and I hope to go to Paris someday myself.
What are your future plans?
My future plans are to go to college out of state. And then maybe study abroad in France or somewhere else in Europe.
What are your hobbies and/or personal interests?
I enjoy running, drawing, hanging out with my friends, skiing and pretty much any outdoor activity.
Who is your hero, if you have one, and why?
I cannot narrow it down to just a single person, so I would probably have to say my grandparents. They motivate and inspire me to be the best I can be and not to stress the small stuff.
Tell of a most memorable experience that relates to school, personal interests or a hobby:
Hanging out at track with all my friends.
How do you demonstrate leadership?
I believe that leadership is more than just saying things. I guess I think it’s more about setting an example. So one way I do this is by getting my schoolwork done on time and having a positive attitude.
How do you approach academics to achieve success?
I make sure to do my homework/projects/tests etc. to the best of my ability. Sometimes school can be stressful so I try to manage my time well.
What special projects have you done, in or out of school?
Last summer I went on a missions trip to a poverty-struck town in Michigan. We helped the less fortunate, who stayed at the Salvation Army. It was a great experience.
Why do you think you won this award?
I think I won this award because I try my hardest to do my best at all times. I’m not perfect, I don’t always get good grades on tests, but I stay motivated, so I think that has something to do with it
What does it mean to you?
It means a lot to me to get this award: I am very happy and a little surprised that I got it.
