Gymastics: Rogers’ Perrault signs with Winona State

Leah Perrault, Elk River-Rogers-Zimmerman gymnastics leader, has signed with Winona State, where she will rejoin two former Elk teammates.

Perrault, a Rogers senior and two-time state individual qualifier, signed Dec. 14 with Winona State coach Beckie Robiecki.

Winona already has sophomore Jena Johndahl of Elk River and freshman Sabrina Hoover of Rogers on its roster. Perrault said the obviously helped recruit here.

“It’s a pretty campus, small but not too small, and the gymnastics team is really good,” said Perrault about her choice. She is leaning toward nursing, or pre-Physical Therapy, as a major.

At state last year, she placed 21st all-around, and seventh on balance beam.
