Basketball: Sting boys beat Brandon-Evansville in 3rd place game

The Spectrum Sting won the third-place game 49-45 over Brandon-Evansville at the Kimball tournament on Saturday. Jake Shockley, junior guard, led the Sting with 16 points. The Sting (3-3), who lost to Melrose 80-37 in the first round, rallied from a six-point deficit against Brandon-Evansville. Steve Delain, senior guard. was named to the all-tournament team. The Sting will play at Providence Academy on Tuesday.
