The Bank of Elk River donates $14,000 to community events

The Bank of Elk River has donated $14,000 to support several Elk River Parks and  Recreation 2012 community events.

In addition, the bank will continue to be a participating sponsor of all other parks and recreation-managed community events such as Fright Night and the Hillside Single Track Attack Mountain Bike State Race.
“It is our pleasure to continue the partnership with Elk River Parks and Recreation to provide fun, safe and free events that bring our community members together,” said Bill LaVigne, the bank’s chief operating officer (COO). “We commend the city and the park and recreation department for the amount of effort and time they put in, planning and organizing these wonderful events.  The Riverfront Concerts have quickly become a summertime tradition for Elk River and our downtown area, and we are proud to be a part of its continued success.”
Meanwhile, in 2012, the bank sponsorship will include these additional items:
•A dedication plaque will recognize the bank for the Riverfront Concert Series at River’s Edge Commons Park in downtown Elk River.
•The city will explore the possibility of moving the farmers market from the Westbound Liquor store parking lot to downtown Elk River.
•The bank logo will be added to youth league program T-shirts.
•A geocaching program will be offered to the community. The program will be designed to bring people to the bank and educate people about Elk River’s 44 parks.
