Chad Michael Coleman, 37, of Otsego, died unexpectedly Monday, Nov. 28, 2011.
He was born June 26, 1974, in Minneapolis, to Don and Marlene (Oelke) Coleman. He lived in the Corcoran area before moving to Otsego in 1999.
He loved anything to do with nature and outdoor sports, especially hunting, fishing and spearing. He also made spearing decoys and won awards for his abilities.
Mr. Coleman was extremely talented with tools and worked as a tool and die maker. He also built his house along with his father. Recently, he built his children a playhouse that was an exact model of their house.
According to his family, “He was always willing to listen to anyone and had a unique ability to speak to strangers as if he always knew them.”
A memorial service was held Saturday, Dec. 3 at the Peterson Chapel of St. Michael-Albertville, St. Michael.
Mr. Coleman is survived by his wife, Heather (Dyreson), of Otsego; children, Mitchell, 8, Ashlynn, 6, and Morgan, 2; parents, Don and Marlene Coleman of Corcoran; sister, Brenda (Andy) Kane of Indianola, Iowa; father-in-law, Bernie (Denise) Dyreson of Delano; maternal grandmother, Marie Oelke of Perham; sister-in-law, Hilary Dyreson (Nate Schlosser) of Loretto; brother-in-law, Shane Dyreson (Andrea Jennings) of Buffalo; and many other relatives and friends.
Mr. Coleman was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Debbie (Sersch) Rice of Howard Lake.
