Basketball: Elk girls lose at Armstrong 50-44

The Elk River Elks lost their conference opener to Armstrong 50-44 on Friday evening in Robbinsdale.

The Falcons (1-1) were led by guard Ally Gove with 14 and center Kari Fossum with 13, both seniors.

Senior post Victoria Jenson tallied 12 for the Elks (0-2).

The Elks (0-2) will play at Champlin Park on Tuesday.
