Elk River native Nate Prosser played 14 games with the Minnesota Wild before being sent back to their farm team, the Houston Aeros, on Monday.
The 25-year-old defenseman’s stats included four assists and a plus-minus of zero. The Wild were 10-4 during Prosser’s tenure, but after a pair of 5-2 losses, to Edmonton and Calgary, the Wild sent Prosser and center Warren Peters to Houston, and called up winger Casey Wellman and center David McIntyre.
Meanwhile, defenseman Greg Zanon, whose groin injury was the reason Prosser was called up, returned to action Monday, replacing defender Justin Falk (chest spasms). A Star-Tribune report Tuesday noted that Lundin and Zanon stabilized the back in a 3-1 win over Tampa Bay on Monday “after a few tough games from Prosser and Falk.”
