Rogers Middle School thankful for Best Buy’s donation

The principal of Rogers Middle School says he will now put together a mobile lab for the building’s sixth-grade wing thanks to a $5,000 donation from the Rogers Best Buy store.  Principal Jason Paurus and Assistant Principal Nicole Rittenour accepted the donation Tuesday, Nov. 15 from Rogers Best Buy General Manager Michelle Beacom and Don Ryan from Intel.

The donation, Beacom said, originated from one of her employees who also happens to be a Rogers Middle School parent.

Dan Charlong encouraged his store staff to participate in a national “Score with Intel” competition.  They agreed and upon winning the competition and receiving their cash prize they decided that the money should be donated to Rogers Middle School.

“Thank you to Intel and Rogers Best Buy for this generous donation,” Paurus said. “We are very grateful for businesses in the community that support, partner and give back to the schools.”
