Hockey: Elk girls top Rebels 4-1 for 2-0 start
Two more goals by Jonna Curtis helped the Elk River Elks improve to 2-0 with a 4-1 victory over the Champlin Park Rebels at home on Tuesday evening.
Curtis, senior forward, also had anĀ assist. She has four goals in the first two games.
Jordan McLaughlin added a power play goal for the Elks and Josie Brown got an empty-netter.
Tori Herrmann was solid in goal, and the Elk penalty kill stopped all four Rebel opportunities.
The Elks will take on Coon Rapids there next Tuesday.
