Swimming: Royals’ Young qualifies for state, team 5th in section
Freshman Jessica Young earned a state berth while the Rogers swimming team placed fifth among nine teams in Section 2A on Friday.
Young was fourth in the 200 freestyle in 1:59.45 but qualified by beating the state-qualifying standard. Normally the top two advance.
The state meet will be held Friday and Saturday at the University of Minnesota.
