The wait is over for Sherburne and Anoka County residents. The newest Veterans Administration (VA) Outpatient Clinic is ready to open.

Veterans and citizens alike crammed into the event center across from the new VA Clinic in Ramsey to hear officials speak about how the clinic demonstrates the commitment that exists for veterans.

Although it will not open for business until next week, the 20,000 square-foot Ramsey clinic, on the corner of Sapphire Street and Veterans Drive, celebrated Veterans Day today (Nov. 11) by offering tours of the facility, which includes areas for dental, eye care, women’s health, a laboratory, mental health and primary care.

Veterans crowded into The Fountains event center to hear the clinic officially dedicated by Ramsey Mayor Bob Ramsey, developer Jim Deal, U.S. Sens. Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken as well as VA officials.

Warbirds helped cap off the dedication of a new VA Clinic that will open Monday in Ramsey.

The event was capped off with a fly-over by three vintage warbirds.
