CAER thanks a caring community

Words cannot express the appreciation CAER food shelf has for the generosity of this community!
First, the C.R.O.P. Walk was held in the fall for the first time on Oct. 9 and those who walked enjoyed great weather at Lions Park.  CAER receives a percentage of the proceeds from the walk and will be able to use those funds to help eliminate hunger.  A big THANK YOU to all who participated!
Our spaghetti supper on Sunday, Oct. 16, was a success because of the tremendous support CAER received from hundreds of area residents and many local businesses. This is one of the few fundraisers CAER holds for itself each year. The Church of St. Andrew has hosted the event for years and their staff is always so gracious to meet all of our needs.
“Thank you” does not seem adequate, but it is heartfelt.  Because of community support, your neighbors will have food available to them. Thanks for CAERing. — Gretch Nordman, Nowthen (Editor’s note: Nordman is a volunteer  coordinator for the CAER food shelf in Elk River.)
