Volleyball: Royals fall to Buffalo 3-1, finish 3rd in conference
The Rogers Royals lost their conference finale to Buffalo on Tuesday evening and missed a chance to share the Mississippi 8 championship.
The Bison, led by Kylee Zumach with 23 kills and Alexa Thielman with 20, prevailed 25-21, 25-21, 24-26, 25-21.
Buffalo finished 5-1 in conference, tied for first place with STMA. Rogers and Monticello each finished 4-2, tying for third.
Rogers will take an 18-8 overall record into Section 5AAA. The Royals have been seeded seventh among 12 teams and will host No. 10 Coon Rapids on Wednesday.
