Volleyball: Elks trip Anoka 3-0

The Elk River volleyball team picked up its second conference win of the week, 25-16, 25-23,  25-22 over the Anoka Tornadoes there Thursday evening.

Kara Ziemer led in kills with 14 and serve-receives with 26. Jayde Krauth notched 11 kills, four aces and four blocks. Janel Finkbeiner made eight kills and 20 assists, and served three aces. Jordan Moening supplied three aces and 26 digs.

The Elks, who nipped Champlin Park 3-2 on Tuesday night, are 5-4 in the NWSC and 13-9 overall. Anoka dropped to 3-6 and 14-12.

The Elks will play in the Alexandria Invitational on Saturday.
