Cross country: Thunder boys, girls 4th at Princeton

The Zimmerman cross country teams ran at a small Princeton meet on Tuesday, with the boys fourth among four teams, and the girls fourth among five teams. It was the first time the girls ran as a complete team (five runners).

Leading the Thunder boys was Tyler Lorden, 14th in 19:08, followed by  Derek Williams  22nd, Chase Laxdal (gr.8) 24th, Sam Bender  25th, Travis Carr  26th, Erik Gruhlke  27th, and Stuart MacGregor 28ty.

For the Thunder girls, Nikki Jurik was fourth in 16:21, and Meghan Tillmann 4th in 17:26.  Kelsie Tufto was  25th, Gabby Kieliszewski  28th, and Danielle Williams  32nd.  Seventh-graders Tufto and Williams made varsity debuts.

Zimmerman will run at the Granite Ridge Conference meet  Tuesday in Mora.
