Swimming: Elks beat Park Center 100-76

Elk River posted a 100-76 victory over the Andover Huskies on Thursday evening, improving to 5-2 in dual meets.

Event winners included Courtney Grunewald (200 free and 500 free), Allison Schwab (medley), Jessica Young (50 free and breaststroke), Anna Huss (diving), Allison Sterneman (100 freestyle).

All three relays also won including the 400 freestyle, in which seventh-grader Marisa Kranitz was a last-minute replacement to anchor the race when coaches realized that Joleen Baker had already swum four events. She swam a PB and nabbed her first varsity win.
