Help save the treasure that is the American Legion

Thanks for your coverage of the plight of the American Legion building, which is a treasure for the veterans and an important asset to the community.

I’m convinced it’s worth the battle to raise $5,000 to eliminate the need for a Nov. 8 sheriff’s sale of the building.

What can we do?

Make a donation.

Attend the Friday night dinners.  An average of $200 is important.

Sign up for the golf tournament Oct. 15.

Attend the Taco Night Thursday nights.

Meanwhile, the Legion is preparing a plan to stay open and satisfy the bank, which already has eliminated the late fees.
