Soccer: Royals, Knights tie 0-0, still share girls lead in Miss. 8

Two teams tied for first place, Rogers and St. Michael-Albertville, stayed that way Thursday night as they duked out a 0-0 tie at Rogers.

The Royals and Knights are each 4-0-1 in the Mississippi 8 with one match left. Right behind are Buffalo  3-1-1 and Cambridge-Isanti 3-2-1.

In the conference finales on Thursday, Rogers will host Buffalo at 5 p.m. and STMA faces Cambridge-Isanti.

The tie ended a 20-match win streak in conference by Rogers.

Knight goalkeeper MiCale Jensen made 11 saves. The Knights had 19 shots. Stats for Rogers are not available at this posting.

The Royals (8-5-1 overall) and Knights (9-2-4) might meet again as both are in Section 8AA this year.
