Cross country: Rogers boys 7th in home meet, Monticello wins

The Rogers boys placed seventh among 11 teams at their own second annual Rogers Invitational on Tuesday at Fox Hollow Golf Club.

Monticello was the team champion and had the individual winner in senior Phillip LaValley.

Rogers was led by Reed Parent in fifth place and Aaron Nelson in 23rd.

Caleb LeClaire, the Royals’ top runner who won this event last year, had to drop out early due to a bad cold.

Next for Rogers is the Mississippi 8 meet next Thursday, which they will also host at Fox Hollow.
