The other Elk counting scores were Anna Haugen in 14th place (16:52), Rachel Ness in 15th (16:58), Gabby Jung in 19th (17:34) and Maria Brown in 20th (17:35).

That was the final regular season meet. Next up is the conference meet at Elk River Golf Club on Thursday, Oct. 13, hosted by the Elks.

“We have a young team with just  one senior, getting better by the week,” said coach Mike Niziolek. “Their best performance is yet to come, I am confident of that.”

He added: “The depth of the girls team was really shown today as our JV team placed first and their times were just beyond the times of our top seven (varsity).”
