The Three Rivers Community Foundation announced grant awards this week in the amount of $33,023 to 10 nonprofits and ISD 728 schools and programs. Since 1996, the foundation has awarded nearly $300,000 in grants to charitable organizations and schools in the areas surrounding Elk River, Otsego, Rogers and Zimmerman.
This year’s recipients are:
•Early Childhood Family Education: To be invested in encouraging Family Ties programming and field trips: $3,195
•Ivan Sand Community School: To help fund the Youth Frontiers Student Program: $919
•ISD 728 Health Services: To replace hearing screening equipment: $909
•Student Theatrical Arts Association of Rogers: To help offset costs for the Rogers High School spring musical: $5,000
•Elk River High School: For Arts Infusion and the annual Evening of the Arts: $2,000.
•Central Lutheran Church: To help fund the Summer Food Program: $5,500.
•CURA Center Inc.: To support the New Beginnings Residential Services and programming, outreach activities and education for pregnant teenagers: $5,000
•Catholic Charities of the Diocese of St. Cloud: To help fund the Three Rivers Senior Health and Wellness Series: $3,500
•Hillside HOPE thru Hooves: To provide scholarships for the Horse Powered HOPE program and facilities: $3,000.
•CAER: To help support the summer food program: $4,000.
