Cross country: Elk boys, girls both place 3rd at Red Wing

The Elk River boys and girls cross country teams both placed third in the Red Wing Invitational on Friday with seven girls teams and six boys teams competing.

Chelsea Schlegel led the Elk girls, placing fourth, and Rachel Ness was next, placing ninth.

Lucas Trapp, Elk eighth-grader, led his team, placing fifth, with Ryan Trapp 10th.

The Roseville Area girls and Red Wing boys won team titles.

Next for the Elks is the Sartell Invitational on Tuesday.
