Soccer: Rogers boys drub Bluejackets 9-0, are still in contention

Despite a 3-10-1 overall record, the Rogers boys are still Mississippi 8 contenders.

They Royals are 3-1 in conference after beating the Cambridge-Isanti Bluejackets 9-0 Thursday, and will close the schedule out  at STMA on Tuesday and at Buffalo on Thursday.

“If we win those, we are conference champions,” coach Chris Miller pointed out. “We’ve had some tough times but those were non-conference matches.”

Mike Biah (an eighth-grader) and Kenny Kalk each had two goals against C-I , with Isaac Aanerud, Brady Johnson, Jake Lutschen, Kyle Bogart and Ethan Kilby one each, and Kenny Johnson made three assists. C.J. Rich was in goal for both shutouts.

The Royals lost to Elk River 1-0 last Saturday.
