The former NAPA Auto Parts store in Elk River will be demolished this fall.
The building is located at 824 Railroad Dr. and owned by the Eagles fraternal organization. The Eagles has petitioned the city to demolish the building as part of the nuisance abatement process.
Three companies submitted proposals for demolition to the city. The lowest was from Jay Johnson Construction for $18,500. The proposals ranged as high as $46,500.
The cost will be assessed to the Eagles.
The building is vacant and part of the roof has collapsed.
