Eagles Club hosts Octoberfest

An Octoberfest event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 8 at the Eagles Club, 824 Railroad Dr., Elk River.
It will include a hog roast, silent auction, live auction and live music.
The event begins at 11 a.m. The live auction starts at 2 p.m. Food will start being served at 4 p.m. with music following that.
The event is free but there will be a donation for food. A percent of the proceeds will be donated to the CAER food shelf in Elk River. The rest of the proceeds will help the Eagles support community causes.
To donate an item for the auction, drop it off at the Eagles Club after 11 a.m. or call 763-633-0634.
There will also be a membership drive as part of Octoberfest. Memberships cost $40 a year for a new membership and $30 a year to renew a membership.
The Fraternal Order of Eagles is an international non-profit that was founded in 1898. Its motto is “People Helping People.” The Eagles Club in Elk River was organized in about 1960.
