Cross country: Thunder get several PB’s at Milaca race

The Zimmerman boys placed 23rd and the girls were incomplete in the 30-school Milaca Mega Meet last Saturday.

“We had several athletes run personal bests.  Most of the athletes ran in grade level races,” said coach Mike Back.

Tyler Lorden dropped almost a whole minute from his previous best to run a 19:08.  Also with personal bests were  Sam Bender, Travis Carr, and Kale Cowles.

Back said the girls had nice performances by Nikki Jurik (37th) in 16:29, and Meghan Tillmann (70th) in 17:32.

Next is the Buffalo meet on Thursday.
