Zimmerman to crown homecoming king, queen

Zimmerman High School will crown a homecoming king and queen on Friday.

Candidates for homecoming king and queen are: Tara Bakken, Anna Huss, Abby Kratzke, Hailey Christensen,  Evan Bye, Kyle Connelly, Ethan Lunning and Phil McChesney.

Zimmerman High School Homecoming Royalty proudly imitated their favorite celebrities during Celebrity Day at Zimmerman Middle and High School on Wednesday. Tomorrow (Sept. 22) is Farmer Day. Students will wear agricultural/farmer attire.

Friday (Sept. 23 Thunder Spirit Day. Students dress in school colors: Seniors–Navy Blue; Juniors–Columbia blue; Sophomores–White; Freshmen–Gray

A king and queen will be crowned Friday at the coronation and pep fest scheduled for 1:10 p.m. in the high school gymnasium.

The homecoming football game will pit the Thunder against Mora at 7 p.m.  The Thunder is unbeaten in its first three games of the year.

Homecoming Dance will be from 9 to 11:30 p.m. in the ZHS cafeteria.  The cost is $5 or $4 with the donation of a non-perishable food item.

Other 2011 royalty include freshmen Devon Brandt and Amanda Rodriguez, sophomores Eli Mullenbach and Samantha Weiss, and juniors  Jeff Mueller and Meghan Tillman.
