Elk River Assistant Street Superintendent Mark Thompson has been recognized for 30 years of service to the city.
He was honored at the Monday, Sept. 19, Elk River City Council meeting.
Street Superintendent Phil Hals said Thompson’s 30 years at work equals 7,290 days or 58,320 hours.
Hals said that “sizeable commitment” requires dedication, reliability, a work ethic and a passion for the job.
“Mark has all these attributes and more,” Hals said.
Mayor John Dietz said Thompson is a very personable guy and extremely dedicated.
“We certainly appreciate his work,” Dietz said.
