Tennis: Royals are 2-1 at Blaine, win streak ends at 8

The Rogers tennis team stretched its win streak to eight with two victories Saturday before losing to Blaine at the Blaine tournament.

The Royals (9-7) beat Princeton 7-0 and North Branch 6-1 before falling to the host Bengals 5-2.

Bailey Kolles went 3-0 at No. 2 singles, and Gina Peppin and Rachel Dodd were 3-0 at No. 1 doubles, each collecting a tourney title.

Rogers has no dual meets this coming week. Next will be the Spring Lake Park tournament next Saturday.
