BMX: Elk junior Stinehelfer captures state 16’s season title

Logan Stinehelfer, ERHS junior, has captured a state championship in the 16-year-old division for BMX racing. He’s also done well in big events in other states.

Stinehelfer placed first among 21 riders in his division of the BMX state competition, sanctioned by American Bicycle Association.  A member of Scheels Team Storm – Linder Trained, he competed at Rehbeins in St. Paul and tracks in Isantii, St. Cloud, Mankato, Faribault, Fergus Falls, New Ulm, Detroit Lakes and Marshall.

Logan Stinefelfer is a member of the Scheels team.

He competed in several states, placing seventh and fifth at Cornhusker Nationals i Nebraska, seventh and third at Land O Lakes Nationals in St. Cloud, and fifth and third in Quaker State Nationals in Pennsylvania. He also raced in Florida and Illinois. Coming up are Hoosier National in Indiana this weekend,  Disney National in Florida over MEA weekend, and Grand Championships in Tulsa on Thanksgiving weekend.

His home track is Rum River BMX in Isanti.

At ERHS, Stiinefelter is involved in track (lettering in grades 9 and 10), wind symphony and jazz band, and holds a 3.8 GPA.
