“It’s about time. We have been playing pretty good,” said coach Chris Miller, citing injuries that have depleted the team’s depth.

Scoring for Spectrum/Big Lake were Vicente Cisneros, on a header off Kalvin Dieman’s corner kick, and Eric Ortego on a breakaway.

Spectrum/Big Lake is 0-4 in its first year of this paring. Spectrum was with PACT last year.

“We are progressing very well,” said coach Mat Harrison. “We are getting more goals each game, and getting more organized, and more confident. It’s going to come. We are pretty young with a lot of eighth and ninth graders.”

Rogers (1-1 in conference) will host Andover on Thursday, 7 p.m. The Sting will play at Maranatha Academy on Thursday at 4:15 p.m.
