Hazel Margaret Kluge, 94, of Princeton, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011, at the Elim Care and Rehab Center in Princeton.
She was born July 2, 1917, to Herman and Emma (Krueger) Kreager in Zimmerman. She grew up on the farm the family homesteaded near Blue Lake. She married Glenn Kluge on Dec. 7, 1939, and they continued to live on her family’s farm. Mrs. Kluge worked at Munsingwear for eight years until she was injured in a car accident. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers, painting buildings and mowing their large yard. She continued living on the farm until she was 90, at which time she entered the Elim Home.
A service was held Wednesday, Aug. 31 at St. John Lutheran Church in Zimmerman. Interment was at Livonia Cemetery, Zimmerman.
Survivors include her son, Dennis (Gabby) of Grand Rapids; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and brother, Clifford Kreager of Zimmerman.
Mrs. Kluge was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Douglas; a brother, Ralph; and one great-grandchild.
