Soccer: Wayzata boys down Elks 4-1
Perennial soccer power Wayzata handed the Elk River boys a 4-1 loss on Thursday on Wayzata’s turf field.
“We were only down 2-1 and had some pressure on them,” said Elk coach Tom Olson, “but they got a couple more goals on us late. They’re very good. They do the simple stuff better than we do.”
Grant Tesdahl had the goal for the Elks (0-4), assisted by Ryan Stefano.
John Kornahrens scored twice for No. 5 ranked Wayzata.
The Elks will host Andover next Thursday.
