Soccer: Spectrum-PACT girls lose to New Life and Mayer Lutheran
The Spectrum-PACT girls soccer team has played its first two games, losing to New Life Academy 8-0 last Tuesday and to Mayer Lutheran 3-1 on Friday.
Jewelle Jackson scored against Mayer Lutheran and Noelle Dieckman saved 16 of 19 shots in goal. Allie Olson, Bri Eng, Madi Rouleau and Noelle Diekman all played 80 minutes due to multiple starters inactive due to injury.
The Sting were missing several players with nagging injuries in the game against New Life, one of the tougher teams on the schedule Diekman faced about 20 shots and stopped about a dozen. Senior Captain Madi Rouleau played all 80 minutes as sweeper and made several tackles to prevent New Life’s forwards from scoring more goals. Three other players on Spectrum’s team had to exit the game early.
