Soccer: Rogers girls score late, beat Pirates 2-1
Gabby Moter delivered the game-winner as the Rogers Royals nipped the Park Center Pirates 2-1 at home Saturday afternoon.
Rogers (1-1) got a free kick goal from Jessica Bianchi in the 26th minute to knot the game 1-1 at halftime.
“Then it was a fight to the finish, throughout the second half,” said Rogers coach Holly Sutton, “like it normally is with Rogers and Park Center.”
Moter broke the 1-1 tie with a minute and 20 seconds left.
Rogers will play at Totino-Grace on Tuesday, 6 p.m.
