Soccer: Sting lose opener to North Branch
The Spectrum/Big Lake Sting boys vsoccer team opened their season on Thursday with a 4-1 loss to the North Branch Vikings.
Senior defender Eric Nordberg scored the lone goal for the Sting on a penalty kick with 8 minutes remaining in the second half. Seventh-grade goal keeper, Pablo Morillo, saved 14 shots.
The Sting travel to Rockford for their next game on Monday.
