Lola Mae Ruth Foster, 80, died peacefully surrounded by her children on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011.
Her family said, “Love and devotion to her family gave Mom her greatest joy; to know her was to love her.”
A memorial service was held at Dare’s Funeral Home in Elk River Wednesday, Aug. 10. Graveside services immediately followed at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Crystal, Minn.
She is survived by eldest sister, Margaret Poleshuk of Elk River; youngest brother, Harold (Butch) Kjelgaard (Nancy) of Fargo, N.D.; step-brother, Myron Kjelgaard (Virginia) of North Dakota; step-daughter, Linda Crandall (Phil); children, Charlene Barder (Edward), Margo Barder (Michael) and David Foster (Sharon); six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by husband, Roland; sister, Evelyn Fuglestad; brother-in-law, Marvin Fuglestad; brothers, Clifford Knutson and Richard Kjelgaard; sister-in-law, Rosie Knutson; brother-in-law, William Poleshuk; and grandson, Chad Foster.
