Refuge hosts fall bird and wildflower tours

Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge near Zimmerman will host tours this fall on birds and wildflowers. Here are the details:
•Fall Bird Tour, 8-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3. Meet at the refuge’s Blue Hill Trail on County Road 9, six miles west of Highway 169. The tour will include walking and driving.
•Fall Wildflower Tour, 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Sept. 10. See wildflowers and native tall grasses in a tour guided by an experienced volunteer naturalist. Meet at the refuge’s Old School House on County Road 9, 5.5 miles west of Highway 169.
