Marcella Weber, 87, of Rogers and Elk River, died peacefully Monday, Aug. 1, 2011, after living the last several years with Alzheimer’s.
Family and music were very important in her life. Mrs. Weber loved to dance, tap dancing into her 80s. She was a great fan of baseball, cheering on her grandchildren, local amateur teams and the Twins. She volunteered many hours at elementary schools in Rogers and Elk River.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. today (Saturday, Aug. 6) at the Church of St. Andrew, 566 Fourth St. N.W., Elk River. Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass at church. Interment will be at St. Martin Cemetery, Rogers. Dare’s Funeral Home served the family.
As Mrs. Weber was a lifelong lover of music, dancing and theater, memorials will be donated to local community theater and education funds.
Survivors include her children, Nick (Charlotte), Tom (Gayle), Paul, Bridget (Kevin Caughman), Kelly and Melani; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Sylvia Bandle, Adeline Weber, Elaine Mead, Earl Martin, and Edmond “Chip” Martin; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett “Bud”; daughter, Mary; and son, Daniel.
