Faith in Action sale is Aug. 4–5

Faith in Action is having its annual rummage sale Aug. 4–5 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Sherburne County fairgrounds in Elk River.
A preview of the “It Just Makes Cents” sale is available Aug. 3 from 5 to 7 p.m. for people who would like first chance at the organization’s selection, but will cost $5 for admission.
Donations of all kinds are still being accepted with the exception of televisions, computers and appliances.
They can be dropped of at the fairgrounds July 30 through Aug. 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Volunteers are still needed as well.
This is the biggest fund raiser of the year for the nonprofit organization.
Great River Area Faith in Action provides many arms of assistance for those in need that includes coaching for caregivers.
Other programs are care teams that help the elderly and disabled with house chores, yard work and other tasks they can no longer perform themselves.
Faith in Action also has The Bridging Project which activates youth volunteers from the area to help people in need.
A grandparenting program matches elderly folks with youth to create cross-generational bonds that benefit both age groups as well.
