Smokes 4 Less has new owner, new look

As customers walk in the door of Smokes 4 Less No. 7, located at 19112 Freeport St. in Elk River’s Elk Park Center, they can’t help but notice that the former Smoke Shop has been completely remodeled.

Changes include the addition of two new cedar cigar humidors, new custom display cabinets and cherry hardwood floors. The store also has several new faces behind the counter meeting and greeting customers.

As of July 5, the store is under new ownership and management. The new owner, Omar Wazwaz, owns seven other tobacco shops across the state, and is well known among major wholesalers. The new owner of the tobacco store has hired his cousin, Mike Wazwaz, as manager, and his cousin, Bobby Wazwaz, as assistant manager of the store. Mike’s brother, Mo, worked for the previous two owners of the Smoke Shop for over four years.

“We’re all cousins taking care of a family business, and happy to be doing so,” said Mike. “Our emphasis is on customer service, and the No. 1 reason for the complete remodel of the store was to make things much more customer-friendly.”

Smokes 4 Less has added many more brands of roll-your-own tobacco, as well as roll-your-own tobacco accessories and supplies.

In addition to their usual line of tobacco products, Smokes 4 Less has added many new gift items, such as cigar cases and humidors, flasks, unique ashtrays, and a brand-new selection of Zippo lighters. There is also a huge display of electronic cigarettes and accessories for those customers who are trying to quit.

Smokes 4 Less will be holding a grand opening celebration on Saturday, July 30 from noon to 4 p.m. and the community is invited to attend.
