Opinion: Graduate inspired fellow students

I am a recent graduate of Minnesota School of Business Elk River. Your story, “Olson refused to give up” is a great highlight of the many local adults trying to better their lives. I met Kari in my Career Development Class and am truly inspired by her. While I have a full time job, I only have one child at home, but not only do I attend school full time, my husband does too.

With two parents, each with a full time job, taking 12-15 credits each quarter and having a busy 11-year-old running around, sometimes it seems like it is all too much. Seeing someone like Kari with such a full life push herself to the limits, makes me realize know we can too.

I was proud to graduate with my A.A.S., and in 2.5 years, when my son is starting High School, I will be even more proud to be getting my Bachelor’s degree.

The best part of it is having my son see how hard we are working to make ourselves better people and better workers. — Cortney Lieberg, Zimmerman
