A proposed splash pad in Otsego’s Prairie Park will not be constructed until August now.
Plans were to have water features completed in July during the hottest month.
The city was not happy with quotes for the project, though, bypassing bids on the concrete, plumbing and electrical work.
City council members did approve bids on other parts of the project including a water and sewer bid by Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc for $29,617.
An asphalt quote of $7,250.32 by Rum River Contracting Co. was also approved June 27.
The city will seek better quotes in the areas of the project still open for bid.
City planner Dan Licht says the project should start by Aug. 1 and be completed by mid August at the latest.
