Opinion: Bread of Life staff says heartfelt thanks and goodbye
With a heartfelt and tearful goodbye, we closed the last chapter of the book at Bread of Life Bookstore.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for coming in to buy the items we had to sell. For 38 years we had a good place in the community. We have had many laughs, cries, and praise reports, and prayed with many of you.
We listened as you sang, hummed, or tried to tell us a few words to a song that you wanted to order. We hoped we worked hard to serve you. We enjoyed every minute with you dear customers.
So we thank you and move on in our lives. As I have said many times to all, “We were the best-kept secret in Elk River.”
For many of you had just discovered us. In fact, we had two new customers come in during our last days — only to find us closing.
As we say “Keep looking up for His redemption draws nigh. (Soon).” — The staff from Bread of Life Bookstore: Sandy, Trisha, Veronica, Joann, Bethany, Julie, Allison and Diane
