Independence Day 2011 at Lions Park in Elk River

Main Street Music of Elk River provides music with DJ services.

4 to 6 p.m.


Inflatables and games in the park, provided by District 728 Community Education and the YMCA.

4:30 to 8 p.m.


Flag-raising ceremony at Korean War Memorial in Lions Park by Elk River scouts.

5:30 p.m.


Three-round volley and presentation of colors by the Elk River Police Honor Guard and Elk River scouts followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

6 p.m.

Performance by Red, White & Blue Elk River Alumni Jazz Band, directed by John Rosner.

6:30 to 8 p.m.


The Crossing Church will have a bounce house for kids on its property.

Boys & Girls Club hosts family bingo, game room activities & teenage basketball in the gym.

6 to 9 p.m.

Independence Day skit presented by actors from Elk River Community Theatre.

8 p.m.


Music performance by Dodge Street Bandits.

Reading of the  Declaration of Independence (Preamble) and American Creed.

9 p.m.

FOOD SERVICE for the event to be provided by Curbside Dining, Elk River Lions, Sweet P’s Ice Cream and Dunn Bros Coffee.

Pop and water to be sold by local community groups on the grounds.
