SCORE grants give people compost rights

Sherburne County residents will now have free access to four compost sites throughout the county under a $60,000 grant from the Sherburne County Municipal Recycling Board.
The grant allows residents to dispose of yard waste and tree brush at no charge during daylight hours.
Commercial and non-county residents will have to pay a permit fee, however.
Those who live outside Sherburne County will have to pay a $50 permit fee, while any commercial truck must obtain a $200 permit to dump tree and yard waste for 2011.
